Veleta Corporation is dedicated to the ecologically sound maintenance and use of Colorado’s forest resources. We provide fire mitigation services to the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Forest Service, Boulder County Parks and Open Space, and larger private properties.

Veleta is currently working on a 135 acre U.S. Forest Service project and has provided services since 2005 for Boulder County Parks and Open Space. We have recently completed a 150 acre mitigation project for Colorado State Forest Service in the Deckers area. We’ve worked on residential projects throughout the recent years focusing on larger properties, many of which are part of landowner assistance programs.

A by-product of many of our forest management and fire mitigation projects is the generation of limbed trees. Our goal, whenever feasible, is to find end users for the products we generate. We sell our product in various stages of processing and in large quantities to firewood dealers who cut and split and sell to customers, and to post suppliers who then peel and trim to dimension and sell to retailers. Sometimes our product is run through chippers and used as biofuel for heating and bedding material for animals.
